This outfitter has been guiding big game hunts out west since 2000. They started with trophy Mule deer and elk in Utah, but their passion has always been hound hunting and it was just a matter of time before we where guiding bear, lion, and bobcats. Their hunting operation now covers Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico. This outfitter has the best guides local to the areas they are hunting in, and in our opinion some of the best houndsmen in the country guiding for them. Their bear areas have extremely high percentage of color phased bears with some areas producing 70% or more color phased bears. Bear hunting big bruins with hounds is the closest thing to Africa’s Big 5 that you can get without leaving the US. There is nothing more exciting then shooting a giant boar bayed up on the ground fighting the dogs. Making even the most seasoned hunters come unraveled in the moment of excitement. Mountain lion is their other passion and they are fortunate to be able to hunt in some of the most game rich areas in the country. They run very high success on lions on both dirt and snow. They do not need snow to catch lions, and some of their most memorable lion hunts take place on dirt. It’s a true pleasure to watch the dogs work out a 2-3 day old lion track over several miles in some of the most inhospitable country in the west. Harvesting a lion will be icing on the cake, and pale in comparison to the memories you take away from a lion hunt behind great hounds. At least that’s what the clients tell them!
